Since first establishing a relationship with the station, WRN has launched four major international broadcasters on the FM network.
WRN's collaboration offers broadcasters the opportunity to reach a wide spectrum of audiences, in one of the world's best known areas, in a variety of languages.
The station is a project originally sponsored by the European Union to promote peace in the region and is licensed by the Palestinian authority with an agreement to co-ordinate frequency usage with the Israeli authorities.

Radio Guangdong Celebrates 60th Anniversary
For many years, in collaboration with WRN, the English service of Radio Guangdong has been instrumental in bringing news and views from this Southern Chinese province to a worldwide audience. The colourful, informative shows feature film stars and celebrities from the region, as well as people from outside of China who have decided to make Guangzhou their home.
This year, Radio Guangdong, along with the rest of China, celebrated the Peoples' Republic of China's 60th anniversary. In recognition of this, WRN focused an entire week of special mini feature programmes from Radio Guangdong throughout the week of September 26th - October 3rd, bringing more of the Cantonese sounds and flavours to audiences around the world.
Competitions were run to encourage listener feedback by email and were extremely successful, with comments from listeners as far flung as Germany, India, Ireland, New York, Malaysia, South Africa, and Ethiopia, amongst others. Perhaps the last word should go to this listener, from Trinidad:
"I wish to express my great appreciation to WRN for bringing Radio Guangdong and a slice of China each week to its worldwide listeners. It is indeed quite refreshing to hear domestic news and features from this southerly Chinese province of Guangzhou. How interesting it is to hear foreigners and locals alike speak on their fondness for living in this part of China with its various customs, unique cuisine, musical delights and other attractions to savour. Congratulations to Radio Guangdong for keeping us informed weekly on their part of the World! I hope soon they can be heard daily!"
IMG SW transmissions
When IMG came to WRN at very short notice to ask if it could provide Short Wave services to transmit Premiere League football match commentary into China, we were only too pleased to be able to help. Within 24 hours of the initial request, WRN was able to arrange for the transmitters to be in place and the first match of twelve, Manchester City versus Arsenal, was broadcast on the 12th September. Further matches continue to be broadcast at weekends up until the end of October.
IMG is the world's premier and most diversified sports, entertainment and media enterprise and is the largest independent sports producer in the world and a global leader in multi-genre production.
