Michael Ward
Michael Ward - Head of Operations.
Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the WRN Broadcast operation.
He started his career working as a Video Tape Operator for Telecine in the 1990's, progressing through the company to become shift leader, supervising the MCR, Teleport and Fibre Network.
In 2002, Michael joined SIS Link, Europe's largest uplink and oustide broadcast provider to manage the control room at their London facility. During his stint, he oversaw the technical development of the MCR and Teleport from a two-person dayside outfit to 24/7 Media Centre.
Michael joined us in 2008 and is in charge of WRN Broadcast's entire technical operation. With over 20 members of staff, the operation incorporates the Content management and MCR teams, who run the WRN Broadcast Media Centre.
He is also responsible for the Facilities Team, who oversee health and safety, building management and ISO 9001 accreditation.
A keen filmmaker and cricketer in his spare time, Michael lives with his wife and two children in Brighton.
